Organization Overview
About Us
Believing that everyone can be a star by making a difference in the lives of children, NFL Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott founded All Stars Helping Kids in 1989. Since then, All Stars Helping Kids has been a galvanizing force and vehicle for individuals and corporate partners to invest in the future of children and our communities. Motivated by the idea that if you can do more you should, in 2006 Ronnie teamed with Marcus Allen and Emmitt Smith to create a National Community Fund to promote a safe, healthy, rigorous learning environment for disadvantaged children. All Stars Helping Kids pools the resources of world class athletes, corporations, and individuals to support the single goal of providing disadvantaged children with 360° support. We define 360° support as wrap around programming involving academic, physical enrichment, and health services. To that end, All Stars is positioned to serve as a convening force, facilitating networks, collecting and disseminating best practices, with the ultimate goal of enabling disparate groups attacking the issues facing low-income children from different entry points to collaborate. We measure our success in the short-term by how well the organizations we support execute their vision, and over the long-term, based on our ability to initiate fundamental changes in how we support youth in low-income communities. With better academic options and increased physical activity as our areas of focus, we intend to push those levers that remove any impediment blocking low-income children from thriving academically and physically.
Our Organization's Mission
We strive to provide children in need with a 360 degree support system that encompasses family, health and academics.
