Donate Life America, formerly, the Coalition on Donation, is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring all people to save and enhance lives through organ, eye and tissue donation.
- Last year, more than 8,000 deceased donors made possible more than 22,000 organ transplants. In addition, there were nearly 7,000 transplants from living donors.
- There also approximately 30,000 tissue donors and 40,000 cornea donors annually, providing more than one million tisue and cornea transplants.
- The need for donated organs, corneas and tissue continues to grow. Over 100,000 men, women and children currently await a life-saving organ transplant. Sadly, an average of 18 people die each day due to a lack of available organs.
