Organization Overview
About Us
The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with new shoes and socks as well as other items deemed essential for good health and positive development.
Who We Are
We are passionate about assisting children in need and providing one of the most basic of necessities; a properly fitting pair of shoes.
Our Organization's Mission
The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with new shoes and socks as well as other items deemed essential for good health and positive development.
Who We Serve
We primarily serve children ages 5 to 17. However, some of our outreach programs assist newborns as well as older children who may be homeless or aged out of the foster care system. We work with a number of referring agencies including Southern Nevada Boys & Girls Clubs, Clark County School District (the 5th largest in the nation), the Salvation Army, HopeLink, CCSD Partnership Office, CCSD Crisis Management Office, Communities in Schools, and a number of social service agencies assisting children in need.
Our Programs
The Annual Goodie Two Shoes Giveaway outfits over 1,500 children from 16 Southern Nevada Boys & Girls Clubs with new shoes, socks, backpacks, school supplies, lunch and more in a single morning on the fourth Saturday of every October. The children are bussed to our GTSF Giveaway location(s) where we size their feet and then partner them with a GTSF community volunteer whom assists them in selecting any pair of shoes in the "store."
GTSF's outreach programs outfit children in need at various locations throughout the city. GTSF's mobile shoe store is transported to various locations where partipating children are escorted through a program which allows them to receive a package of socks and select a pair of shoes of their choice. Additional items such as backpacks, school supplies and more are often also available.
Upcoming Events
March 20, 2009 Smiling Soles. Providing 500 Clark Country elementary school students with new shoes, socks and more.

An Evening of Heart n' Sole, a May 22nd, 2009, fundraising event at the beautiful M Resort in Las Vegas. This evening of great food, libations, entertainments, and a silent auction will support our goal of securing a long-term facility.

Leadership Profile
Nikki and Tony Berti - CoFounders
Nikki Berti - Executive Director

Origin:
In 2003, Nikki and Tony Berti, co-founded the Goodie Two Shoes Giveaway, a one-day event to provide disadvantaged children with new shoes. They patterned their Giveaway after a similar but much simpler event they volunteered for annually during Tony's playing days with the NFL's San Diego Chargers. (1995-1998) Upon Tony's retirement from the NFL in 2001, they brought the concept home to Las Vegas.
Their Goodie Two shoes Giveaway garnered tremendous cummunity support and experienced significant growth during the event's first four years. From providing new shoes and backpacks to 225 disadvantaged children from a single Las Vegas Boys & Girls Club in its inaugural year to outfitting over 1500 disadvantaged children from more than a dozen Southern Nevada Boys & Girls Clubs with new shoes, socks, backpacks, school supplies, lunch and more during the annual one-day, fun-filled event held every October on Make A Difference Day, the Giveaway continues to excite, inspire and assist.
In 2007, the Goodie Two Shoes Giveaway officially grew into the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation. The nonprofit 501c3 designation allowed GTSF to expand the Giveaway's mission, establish regular outreach programming, serve thousands of children annually and partner with dozens of other organizations which assist children in need.

What Sets Us Apart
We are an all-volunteer organization with no payroll or staff and minimal overhead. Nikki Berti works tirelessly as the Executive Director to oversee GTSF's day-to-day operations, raise funds, coordinate events and recruit volunteers.
Objectives for This Fiscal Year
Our goal in 2009 is to secure a long-term facility which will allow us to double and perhaps even triple the number of children we are able to serve. We still intend for 95% of our funding to go directly to our programs and the children we serve.
Recent Accomplishments
In 2008, GTSF outfitted nearly 4,000 Las Vegas children in need. We had the pleasure of working with St. Jude's Children's Ranch, Beckley Elementary School, Family Promise (transitional homeless), Mendoza, Edwards and Ullom Elementary Schools, the Salvation Army, HopeLink, Clark County School District crisis management office, East and West Valley Family Services, the Las Vegas Rebels, and Shade Tree Homeless Shelter.
In October, we will outfit 1,500 children on Make A Difference Day.
In November and December, we will respond to various organizations on behalf of children in need.
