A Businesses Who Care National Sponsor

Overview
About Me:
I am a community matriach in regional Australia. I am responsible directly and indirectly for the care of around 1000 children. I sit on a number of councils and committees, that provide care and support for our regional families. We run and co-ordinate playgroups, P&C associations, local markets and out reach programes. I am a writer and Textile and Paper artist. A mum of 3. I love to work with people, I love to create situations that make people smile. There is nothing I love more than to see one of our projects come fruition.
Things I Like to Do For Fun
I love my kids and sharing in their life. I love my pets... But for fun I guess I like to set my self challenges and meet them.
Issue(s) I am Passionate About
I am passionate about life- In my mind life is for living... I believe that every one has the right to lifestyle choice and believe we have a responsiblity to preserve and where possible create opportunity for the next generation.
An Issue I Would Like to Learn More About
I have a great interest in cultual diversity... I guess I would love to learn more about the things that make us ( as in humans in general) different and the same. I love history, natural science and would love to do a travelling study on child rearing and learning, food and history with a focus on history and how our different paths have created us ( humans in general) with a certain focus on behaviour.

Causes And Collaboration
About My Causes
Firstly I believe in a global community. I believe that every child has the right to a childhood and care and support. I believe in the equity of spirit and lifestyle choice. I believe that every creature deserves to live well - and it is the responsiblity of those who can to make the difference - We need to start taking environmental and livestyle issues seriously in order for our children have a future.
I Donate to these nonprofits:
Cancer Council, WIRES, WWF, OXFAM,Lost dogs home, Salvation Army, Boys town, Bernados
I Volunteer at These Nonprofits
NSW Playgroup Association, School P&C,local church... various councils... Local community Markets... and I am pretty hands on in a couple of social support groups.
Help International.
Other Ways I Make a Difference in My Community and the World
I am a story teller and carer.
Other Ways I Would Like to Make a Difference
Other ways I would like to make a difference is - by sharing the ways of my elders - you know, so much difference can be made just by people being good to other people - respect, apprieciation, a positive comment or a smile cost nothing yet so many people benifit from them... I guess it is just genuine love and care... and of course cake!
People I Would Like to Collaborate With
People with experience in community management
People who care!
Projects I Would Like to Collaborate on
I love networking projects -$ are great but I find that it is the connection that really breaks through barriors
Nonprofits I Would Like to Collaborate With
I am happy to collaborate with community groups that bennifit a greater society or indviduals in need
Projects I Need Help On
We ( my team and I)have sucessfully implemented many grass roots projects in our community. We are now looking to create an annexing organisation whose main purpose is to provide infrastructure and income support to other services and community groups. We are developing some home enteratinment products and would love to trial them here and get advice.
Skills I Would Like to Share
We are great at family management issues. Children/Parenting issues, health issue, time and resource management. Eco-sustainable life styles.
Skills I Would Like to Learn
We would like to learn how to use the media to sell our products, and find community based networks that are looking to share information and experience.
Ideas I would Like to Share
I am in the unique position to live a rather average life - with average life issues, but I still have a great insight in to a lot of peoples lives. So I have put together a game plan that may suit other carers, or community orientated people. It has the potential to create great personal and community wealth, and is duplicatable.Jump on www.robbi.com.au and check out Robbi's game plan!

Thanks for adding me! I'm going to tell my cat that if he's ever in Australia, he and your parakeet should get together and swap secrets... if that's okay with you!

You sound like you have such a vibrant life! Thanks for being a part of Make The Difference Network. I hope to, someday soon, have the ability to vet Nonprofits/Chariities "downunder" so you will have organizations in your part of the world to donate to, and interact with.

Thanks for making the difference!
