Organization Overview
About Us
The mission of the Ron Cameron Foundation, a non-profit organization, and the Ron Cameron Memorial Scholarship Fund is to honor our dear friend Ron who died too young and to contribute pride, passion, excellence, and a zest for life to the trades by attracting motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a stellar work ethic to enhance the existing workforce and replace those lost too soon, such as Ron. Please help us attract talented people to an industry (home services) that struggles to do so and one that provides a great service to the community. Your gift will keep giving for years to come both for the individuals receiving scholarships and the homes and families they serve.
Who We Are
We are the family and friends of Ron Cameron, a great young man that passed on at the age of 38, that volunteer our time to remember Ron and honor him by continuing his legacy of pride, passion and a zest for life and his job by trying to replace his void in the industry that has given all of us so much via rewarding annual scholarships to deserving individuals.
Our Organization's Mission
The mission of the Ron Cameron Foundation, a non-profit organization, and the Ron Cameron Memorial Scholarship Fund is to contribute pride, passion, excellence, and a zest for life to the trades by attracting motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a stellar work ethic to enhance the existing workforce and replace those lost too soon.
Who We Serve
The scholarship is designed to recognize excellence, a passion for the trades and a strong work ethic and reward deserving students aspiring to an education and career in the mechanical trades or construction. Qualifying students are selected based upon criteria set by the Foundation, UHS faculty and are those students who best exemplify Ron's zest for life, friendship loyalty and hard work.

Scholarships are awarded annually at the Unionville High School awards ceremony in May with the recipient being recognized subsequently at the annual golf outing dinner.
Our Programs
We put on a first class golf outing each year that is sold out well in advance to remember and celebrate Ron's life, but to also celebrate teh continuation of his legacy by adding another person to the trades. We invite the scholarship winners to play in the outing, be recognized and share their story each year.

What Sets Us Apart
We are the only organization that has a scholarship specifically earmarked for someone pursuing an education and career in the trade fields such as HVAC, an industry in deserate need of talent and one that is growing.
Objectives for This Fiscal Year
To award another $5000 scholarship and increase our endowment to $40,000. Our goal is to eventually be able to fund the entire education of several individuals pursuing careers in the trades since fewer and fewer do so.
Recent Accomplishments
We raised $21,000 for the foundation in 2007 for our second annual Golf Outing (the first year was simply a celebration of Ron's life) and were able to increase our inaugural scholarship from $1000 initially awarded to the winner up to $5000.
